Different definitions:

IS0 17025 is an international standard for laboratory accreditation services. Its full name is ISO/EC17025:2005-5-15 "General requirements for testing and calibration laboratory capabilities"

CNAS is the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment. It is a national accreditation agency established and authorized by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration Commission in accordance with the regulations of the Certification and Accreditation Regulations of the People's Republic of China.

Different functions:

1. ISO 17025:

(1) Show that the laboratory has the technical capabilities to carry out calibration/testing in accordance with relevant international standards;

(2) Enhance the laboratory’s competitiveness in the calibration/testing market and win the trust of government departments and all sectors of society,

(3) Participate in bilateral and multilateral cooperation in international laboratory accreditation and gain wider recognition.

2. CNAS certification:

(1) Establish and operate a national accreditation system for conformity assessment institutions in accordance with relevant Chinese laws and regulations, international and national standards, norms, etc., and formulate and publish rules, guidelines, guidelines and other normative documents for accreditation work

(2) Conduct capability evaluations of conformity assessment institutions that apply for domestic and foreign applications, make accreditation decisions, and conduct accreditation supervision and management of accredited conformity assessment institutions:

(3) Responsible for the guidance and supervision of the use of the accreditation committee logo and accreditation marks;

(4) Organize and carry out personnel training related to accreditation, and conduct qualification assessment and employment management of reviewers

Different accreditation agencies:

IS017025: China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories is the only laboratory accreditation agency in my country, responsible for the IS017025 standard accreditation of all laboratories in the country. The China National Accreditation Board for Certification Agencies (CNAB) is a national accreditation agency authorized by the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration in accordance with the law. The organization is responsible for accrediting the certification capabilities of certification agencies engaged in various types of management system certification and product certification.
